What could be a brilliant excuse?

We often manage an otherwise unapproved leave from our work saying ‘we are ill’. Sometimes we intentionally miss conferences (which boss finds necessary, but we find nonsense!) or appointments with people who bring no prospect to our lives, saying we were seriously ill on that day. Even we use the same excuse to avoid some social gatherings that bring together people who are Jack of all trades and Master of Gossip! Some people even spend time at places far away from home on their medical leaves. Some very social people make avail of medical leaves to spend time with their families.

Though bosses sometimes go mad about these people so as to understand how these people fall ill so often, but still maintain healthy looks!, the people who know how to be ‘ill on demand’ enjoy their lives as they want.

‘Being ill’ saves just any situation that we don’t want, even those we want, too. Probably, it holds its effectiveness due to the fact that no human can be rude to a sick person and who’s that fool who won’t take advantage of this precious human quality?

But can anyone tell me what a good excuse could be for missing an appointment with a doctor, when the excuse has to be given to the doctor himself?
